Pangamic acid is the name that has been applied to the combination of gluconic acid, 6 ester with N, N-dimethylglycine which has also been known as vitamin B15.² DMG is a small water-soluble molecule that is lipophilic enough to rapidly cross cellular membranes. DMG has been shown in an animal study to play a role in oxygenation of muscle tissue.⁴
